In 2026, the Offender Register reported that, in connection with the sexual assault of a 17-year-old woman in Coatbridge, a man had been apprehended and prosecuted.
On Sunday, June 28, 2026, at approximately 1 a.m., the incident transpired in a lane adjacent to Blair Road and Auldhame Street.
On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, the 27-year-old is scheduled to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court.
Detective Inspector Lorraine Wilson stated, “Incidents of this nature can cause a great deal of concern, and officers are continuing to engage with the local community to provide reassurance.”
