After an inquiry into the grooming and sexual abuse of a vulnerable 16-year-old girl in Hull, three men were found guilty.
The guys appeared at Hull Crown Court today, Thursday, June 25, 2026, and after an 18-day trial, a unanimous jury found them guilty of the allegations.
A 24-year-old Afghan national who identifies as Arab, Hamdulluh Hamdadd, also known as Hamid, of Park Grove in Hull, was found guilty of purposefully arranging or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a child and purposefully obtaining for himself the sexual services of a child between July 2025 and November 2025.
At a previous court appearance, Hamdadd entered a guilty plea to possessing an extremely pornographic image and taking an indecent picture of a child.
Rafiullah Naseri, also known as Shaheen, a 20-year-old Afghan national who identifies as Arab and lives in Spring Bank in Hull, was found guilty of purposefully arranging or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a child and purposefully obtaining the child’s sexual services for himself between July 2025 and November 2025.
Amjid Akakhail, a 22-year-old Afghan national who identifies as Arab and lives on Pearson Street in Wakefield, was convicted of purposefully procuring a child’s sexual services between July 2025 and November 2025.
At a previous court appearance, Akakhail entered a guilty plea to creating an offensive picture of a child.
Our Child Sexual Exploitation Team began an inquiry when professionals who were concerned about a child’s well-being reported information to the police. In response to these worries, officers moved quickly to launch an investigation, which revealed that Hamdadd, Naseri, and Akakhail were responsible for the exploitation of a sixteen-year-old female.
The victim and Hamdadd happened to cross paths while both were patrons of a Hull store. After this first interaction, Hamdadd employed strategic methods to establish rapport grounded in control and trust. He isolated the victim, targeted her for sexual exploitation, and introduced her to the other guys by using gifts to instil a strong sense of obligation.
The victim was the target of all three guys, who groomed her to earn her trust before taking advantage of her and repeatedly abusing her sexually at addresses all across Hull.
With the help of other agencies, warrants were executed at residences in Hull and West Yorkshire in December 2025 after officers discovered multiple addresses connected to the suspects as the investigation progressed. Hamdadd, Naseri, and Akakhail were apprehended pursuant to these warrants.
The three individuals were charged and remanded the next day (Thursday, December 11, 2025) after officers collaborated closely with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) to develop a strong case against them.
Jurors were shown a great deal of evidence throughout the trial, including communication data, CCTV footage, and witness statements. This evidence amply illustrated the severity of the abuse and its profound effects on the victim.
On Friday, June 26, 2026, all three men will be sentenced at Hull Crown Court.
