The Surrey Quays paedophile, Ahmed Deq Mohamed, was found guilty in May 2024 of sexually abusing a young girl and was given a four-year, six-month prison sentence.

On June 16, 2023, Ahmed Deq Mohamed, 20, who had previously been found guilty of sexually abusing a child under the age of thirteen, committed another crime.

Five days later, the police caught him and charged him; forensic evidence and the victim’s convincing video testimony helped convict him.

I wish to commend the victim for promptly approaching the police and reporting this abhorrent conduct by Mohamed,” said Detective Constable Oliver Colville, who led the investigation.

Her convincing video testimony supported the forensic evidence, which was enough to condemn Mohamed.

Ahmed Deq Mohamed appeared at Inner London Crown Court on May 22 and was sentenced to four years and six months in prison and twelve months on licence.

After a trial in the same court, he was earlier found guilty of sexually abusing a child under the age of thirteen through penetration.

Additionally, Ahmed Deq Mohamed will now be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
