A vulnerable victim on Lyndhurst Road, Worthing, was the objective of 27-year-old Suleman Mukaish.

Officers with specialised training assisted the victim, who cannot be identified for legal reasons. She informed a member of the public about the offence, who then contacted the police.

Two days after the crime, Mukaish was detained at London Gatwick Airport after purchasing a one-way ticket to depart the nation. After that, he was accused of rape, which he acknowledged in court on April 13.

Mukaish, a Pakistani national living on Cambridge Road in Worthing who was studying in the UK, was sentenced to 11 years and three months in prison at Hove Crown Court on June 23.

The event occurred on March 11 of this year at around 7:30 p.m., the court was informed. When a witness discovered the woman making her way back to their car, she told the witness that she had been raped.

The witness remarked, “I could see she was in a bad way.”

Witnesses came forward to provide crucial information as police began their investigation.

CCTV footage that showed Mukaish snatching the girl and transporting her to the parking lot, where she was raped, was pieced together by detectives. Additionally, they discovered Mukaish’s handprint and fingerprint on a car at the crime scene.

In a final twist, Sussex Police released a mugshot of the convicted rapist! But have not explained what Mukaish was doing in the UK.
