On October 6 of last year, Tyler Evans of Glyn Avenue, Colwyn Bay, seized a lone woman while she was walking her dog.

During the incident, his genitalia were visible.

Two days after the crime, Evans was taken into custody during a plainclothes operation in the vicinity.

After that, he was accused of exposure and sexual assault.

In May, Mold Crown Court found him guilty on both counts despite his denials.

Evans was sentenced to three years and two months in prison today, June 22, after appearing before Mold Crown Court.

Additionally, he has to permanently register as a sexual offender.

“This incident must have been a terrifying experience for the victim while out walking her dog in Eirias Park, a location where everyone should feel safe,” stated Detective Chief Inspector Simon Kneale.

“I hope that today’s sentence helps to reassure her that Tyler Evans won’t hurt anyone else in the future.

One of our top goals continues to be combating violence against women and girls and going after those who harm our communities the most.

“We’ll keep doing everything we can to make sure everyone feels safe on our streets and to foster an atmosphere where ladies don’t avoid particular areas at night due to other people’s actions.

Any victim of sexual assault is encouraged to come forward with the assurance that they will be heard and supported.
