In 2019, the Offender Database reported that Mark Hatch exchanged grotesque jokes online with one of Britain’s most notorious paedophiles, who was incarcerated for his serial sexual assaults on an infant.
Mark Hatch, 37, engaged in disturbing correspondence with 31-year-old Robin Hollyson, during which Hollyson transmitted footage of himself sexually assaulting a five-month-old infant.
During the discussions, Hatch from Middleton boasted about viewing the filthy film and stated: “God love being a paedophile with other depraved paedophile perverts.”
In a single message, he informed IT specialist Hollyson: “You receive ample inappropriate attention.” I eagerly anticipate our time together. I aspire to become a genuine deviant.
In his comments, Hollyson from Luton informed Hatch, “His second birthday will be an open event.”
Two additional acquaintances of Hollyson subsequently assaulted the adolescent.
The disturbing chat log, occurring between October 2013 and March 2014, was discovered on Hatch’s iPhone, laptop, and iPad during a police raid of his residence in June 2016, after an investigation into a paedophile ring operated by Hollyson.
In previous communications, Hatch informed Hollyson of his desire to “stalk young boys and select one to abduct and assault.” Over 100 obscene photographs were discovered on Hatch’s PC.
At Manchester Crown Court, Hatch confessed to promoting Hollyson’s commission of sexual offences, inciting a minor to participate in sexual conduct, and disseminating indecent photos, resulting in a sentence of six years and eight months in prison.
Hollyson was incarcerated for 24 years in September 2015 for conspiracy to commit rape, but subsequently committed suicide in prison the following January.
He was one of the architects of a group of seven paedophiles who sexually assaulted infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, broadcasting the abuse online.
The court was informed that Hatch had participated in multiple Skype discussions with Hollyson, all of which were related to the baby.
In the conversations, Hollyson confessed to having previously abused the youngster, and Hatch requested photographs, thereafter making a series of grotesquely graphic comments.
When Hatch neglected to attend a meeting, Hollyson alluded to reserving a “hotel full of perverts” and enquired, “Didn’t you desire a chance at his cherry?” to which Hatch responded, “Of course I do.”
Upon being informed that Hollyson had established a paedophile ring to exploit the boy, Hatch responded, “What are you going to do, take him for a group abuse session? Impressive. I wish to enter a ring.”
I would like to see you on camera with the child.
Investigations disclosed that Hollyson had summoned Hatch to a meeting with the intent of facilitating the rape of the infant; however, Hatch declined, citing a work interview as his reason.
The court was informed that Hatch engaged in a sexualised online communication with a 14-year-old kid from the USA, during which the youngster was solicited to undress in front of a camera. He allegedly said to have assaulted a 12-year-old youngster at Stockport bus station and to have mistreated another boy aged merely eight.
In a conversation with another paedophile, Hatch expressed a desire to engage in heinous acts, stating: “I want to become extremely depraved, to assault a young child at knifepoint, to witness a snuff film with another individual, as I have never seen one, and subsequently abduct a child to reenact it…”I am aware that I would derive pleasure from it.
Prosecutor Mr Alaric Bassano stated, “There were a total of 21 online conversations with 21 distinct males from 2012 to 2015.”During these discussions, the defendant disclosed precise intentions on heinous sexual and violent acts he desired to perpetrate or witness against minors. He articulated a desire to observe the sexual assault of young children and to perpetrate such acts himself.
In multiple conversations, this involved the sexual assault of toddlers and infants, including newborns, and he conveyed a desire to participate in a paedophile network. In three conversations, the defendant expressed a desire to witness and even perpetrate “rape and snuff”; nevertheless, the Crown acknowledges that he was merely indulging in sexual and violent fantasies without any intention or belief that these acts would be executed.
His misconduct also did not constitute conspiracy. He rejected all solicitations to engage in substantive offences against the kid or to assist others in committing such acts at the location, and he did not facilitate the perpetration of these offences. Hollyson clearly need minimal or no motivation.
Nonetheless, the defendant was informed that Hollyson had committed rape and was planning to perpetrate gang rape against the infant. He may have notified the authorities to prevent further damage to the youngster. Instead, he deliberately chose to incite the precise offences that Hollyson and others subsequently perpetrated, convinced that this would be the outcome.
Sentencing Judge Stuart Driver QC stated to Hatch: “The material on your devices indicates a profound sexual interest in young and very young boys.” You expressed a desire to commit sexual assault and inflict harm upon them, stating your interest in participating in a paedophile network.
You received a video of Hollyson perpetrating sexual assault against the infant, yet your reaction was one of total approval. You urged him to repeat the act, to escalate the assault, and to organise what you referred to as a collective abuse session. After you incited criminal activity, Hollyson orchestrated the sexual assault of the same child by two additional men.
“This court needs to recognise that Hollyson would have perpetrated those offences independently of your encouragement, and you consistently declined invitations to meet him.”
“Nonetheless, your awareness of this man’s rape of the child, coupled with your encouragement of subsequent assaults and your belief that they would occur, constitutes an endorsement of those heinous crimes.” Professional assistance is necessary to address your deeply ingrained sexual impulses, which likely persist and will continue throughout your life.
Hatch was also subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, prohibiting him from utilising the internet and any device capable of cloud storage. He is additionally barred from communicating with any individuals under the age of 16.
