In January 2026, the Offender Database reported that Hasnain Ahmed, 25, of Blakey Street, South Manchester, was sentenced at Manchester Crown Court. Ahmed was jailed for two and a half years following his conviction for the sustained sexual abuse of a vulnerable teenage girl over two years between 2016 and 2018.
The court heard that Ahmed’s offending involved multiple counts of predatory behaviour targeting a child. Following a trial in November 2025, he was found guilty of four counts of sexual assault by touching and one count of sexual assault by penetration, all involving a victim under the age of 13. Additionally, he was convicted of two counts of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity. The prosecution detailed how Ahmed exploited the victim’s vulnerability during the period of abuse.
On January 5, 2026, the judge sentenced Hasnain Ahmed to two years and six months in prison. The court emphasised the severity of the breach of trust and the long-term impact such offences have on young victims. In addition to the custodial sentence, the judge imposed a restraining order prohibiting Ahmed from having any contact with the victim for the next ten years to ensure her ongoing protection.
Hasnain Ahmed was also made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for a period of ten years. This order places strict legal restrictions on his internet usage, travel, and ability to be in the company of children. Failure to comply with any part of this order is a criminal offence that can result in further imprisonment.
As a result of his convictions, Ahmed has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life. Upon his release, he will be managed under Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA), where Greater Manchester Police and the Probation Service will closely monitor his residence and activities to mitigate the risk he poses to the public.
