In 2019, the Offender Database reported that Marc Barrett, a Leeds Paedophile Child Molester, a deviant with a compulsion for viewing child rape images, was apprehended for downloading abhorrent child sexual assault images for the third time.

He has yet again been returned to incarceration.

Marc Barrett, then 37, was incarcerated for two years for disregarding court restrictions and persistently accessing pornographic and harmful photographs of minors.

The police conducted a search warrant at the residence of the sex offender in Armley last year to perform checks on him.

Carmel Pearson, the prosecutor, stated that Marc Barrett exhibited suspicious behaviour and attempted to conceal computer equipment and a USB drive.

Electronic devices were confiscated from the premises and examined by forensic specialists.

The court was informed that 25 still and motion photographs were retrieved. Eleven of the photos fell within category A, the highest level of severity in terms of violation.

A total of 85 photographs were discovered to have been erased.

Marc Barrett utilised internet search queries about sexual photos of 11- and 12-year-old girls.

Marc Barrett, residing on Whingate Avenue in Armley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, admitted guilt to three charges of producing indecent photographs of minors and one charge of violating a sexual offences prevention order.

The court was informed that Marc Barrett received an 18-month prison sentence in 2014 for charges related to the creation and distribution of obscene pictures of children.

He returned to court in March 2017 for further offences related to the possession of illicit child imagery.

Marc Barrett was issued a community order and instructed to participate in a rehabilitation program aimed at preventing recidivism.

Marc Barrett, a former Ikea employee, was apprehended in 2014 for permitting others to view his repository of over 12,000 child sexual assault photographs.

Of the total, 2,857 photographs were classified as level A – the most severe category of offence – depicting children as young as three years old being subjected to horrendous abuse and rape.

A total of 430 extreme pornographic photos, including bestiality, were also discovered.

He was apprehended following an operation conducted by the National Crime Agency targeting individuals who utilised online file sharing to disseminate abuse photos of minors.

Officers conducted a search warrant at Marc Barrett’s former residence on Fairfax Avenue, Drighlington, Bradford, and subsequently uncovered the photographs after confiscating computer equipment.
