In 2015, the Offender Database reported that George Sayle, Worthing Paedophile Child Molester, 72, of Montrose Close, Worthing, was sentenced to 10 years in prison at Hove Crown Court on May 1.

He pleaded guilty in March to:

  • engaging in a penetrative sexual act with a girl under 14
  • making an indecent image
  • attempting to engage a child under 13 in sexual activity
  • possessing indecent images of children.

George Sayle manipulated two females under the age of 16 until he was able to perform sexual actions after securing their trust.

Detective Constable Chris Merryfield-Day stated: “Through investigations, police identified the two female victims; however, George Sayle’s guilty plea rendered a trial unnecessary.”

George Sayle cultivated a friendship with the family and subsequently exploited the trust bestowed upon him. He has been incarcerated for the heinous trauma he inflicted upon these girls, and I hope that with adequate help, including that from their families, they may overcome this situation and progress positively in their lives.
