The Offender Database reported, in 2023, that Trevor Cheesman, the Hove Paedophile Child Molester, avoided imprisonment after confessing to attempting to provoke a 12-year-old girl into participating in sexual conduct.

Trevor Cheesman, then 51, of Farm Road, Hove, admitted guilt to four offences, one of which pertained to the transmission of sexually explicit messages.

Trevor Cheesman also confessed to possessing obscene photographs on his phone.

Trevor Cheesman communicated via the Kik messaging platform with an individual he believed to be a 12-year-old girl, disclosing his sexual fantasies.

Trevor Cheesman was incarcerated for criminal damage and violence in 2009.

Following mitigation, Judge Mooney sentenced Trevor Cheesman to a two-year prison term, suspended for 18 months.

He mandated Trevor Cheesman to participate in 15 rehabilitation sessions and up to 35 days in a “Horizon-accredited program” designed to address sexual offences.

The judge mandated that Trevor Cheesman register as a sex offender for a duration of 10 years and instituted a “sexual harm prevention order” for the same timeframe.

He mandated the forfeiture and destruction of Trevor Cheesman’s phone and computer, and instructed him to remit a victim fee of £149.

An Appeal is in effect for previous victims of Trevor Cheesman to come forward and report him to Sussex Police.
