A guy perpetrated the rape of a teenage girl and attempted to murder a four-year-old child whom he sexually molested, amid a four-year campaign of violence against seven women and children.
William McArthur of Armadale was found guilty of inflicting severe bodily and sexual abuse on his victims at the Edinburgh High Court.
The 35-year-old faced trial for eleven charges, including the attempted murder of a little child and three instances of rape.
The incidents occurred from March 2014 to January 2018 in the regions of Dumfries, Armadale, and Grangemouth.
McArthur was convicted of five sexual offences, including the rape of a woman and a teenage girl, as well as the aggravated sexual assault of a minor.
He was convicted of attempted murder of the child, three counts of assault, and had earlier pleaded guilty to two stalking charges.
Detectives initiated an inquiry into McArthur following the discovery that a four-year-old child had incurred severe injuries while under his supervision at a location in Grangemouth.
