An 18-year-old child molester named Kai Groborz targeted a little schoolgirl while she was walking along a lane in Halbeath, Fife, in a disturbing incident.
In a distinct crime, the individual was apprehended with a cache of obscene photographs involving minors and bestiality.
Kai Groborz, residing at Seamark Place, Ballingry, was presented in the dock at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.
He confessed to sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl in a path between Fod Street and Fleet Street in Halbeath in January of last year.
Kai Groborz confessed to making contact with her intimate areas through her garments using his hand.
He additionally confessed that from May 23, 2022, to August 22, 2023, Kai Groborz downloaded obscene images of children in Riccarton, East Kilbride, and other locations.
On October 12, 2022, he disseminated obscene content, including a photograph depicting a youngster involved in sexual conduct with an animal, at the exact location.
Prosecutor Sarah Smith indicated that during the Halbeath incident, Kai Groborz was living in the vicinity with his grandmother and uncle.
The young girl and her brother departed from their home at 8:40 AM, proceeding along a trail to elementary school.
The girl was many paces behind her brother when Kai Groborz approached and made contact with her.
The girl called out to her brother, prompting Kai Groborz to flee.
She informed her brother of the incident, and he conveyed the matter to their headteacher.
He stated, “A paedophile molested my sister en route to school.”
The girl then informed the teacher of the incident, and law enforcement was notified.
At 4:15 p.m. that day, the police visited Kai Groborz’s residence to converse with him.
He stated, “I understand the matter,” and was apprehended.
Sheriff James Williamson requested reports, and Kai Groborz remained free pending sentencing on November 27, 2025, as Police Scotland often does not advocate for remand in cases involving paedophiles and child molesters.
Kai Groborz was placed on the sex offenders registry.
