In 2022, Dana Omar, the Wakefield Paedophile, a “dangerous and predatory” individual who sexually assaulted a youngster for four years, was incarcerated.
Dana Omar, 46, of Plumpton Road, Wakefield, pleaded guilty to four counts of child sexual assault, inciting sexual activity with a child, and attempted rape.
Dana Omar attended Leeds Crown Court, where he received a sentence of nine and a half years’ imprisonment.
Detective Constable Will Denton, from the Wakefield District Child Safeguarding Unit, stated: “I wish to commend the victim for her extraordinary courage in reporting this abuse.”
There is little question that this courage and strength have guaranteed that Dana Omar can no longer perpetrate offences against innocent and vulnerable children in the Wakefield District.
“The sentence imposed on Dana Omar illustrates the gravity and persistent nature of his offences against this vulnerable child.
Dana Omar is a perilous, predatory individual, and West Yorkshire Police endorse this statement.
We employ specially trained officers who diligently pursue justice for perpetrators and assist survivors of abuse.
I strongly encourage anyone with concerns regarding a child to promptly contact either West Yorkshire Police or Wakefield Children’s Social Care.
