Luke Large, the Stowmarket Paedophile, a 20-year-old man, has been punished after admitting to engaging in sexual conversations with a minor and producing indecent photos of minors.

Luke Large, residing on Elizabeth Way in Stowmarket, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court on Thursday, 2 October, when he received a 12-month prison sentence, suspended for two years.

This follows a prior hearing at Ipswich Crown Court on 4 September, during which Luke Large admitted guilt to three charges of producing indecent images of a child and one charge of engaging in sexual conversations with a child.

The court was informed that from February 2023, Luke Large communicated via texts of a sexual nature with an unknown minor who claimed to be 13 years old.

He confided in her about his depression and solicited nude photographs and videos, asserting that he would resort to self-harm otherwise.

In November 2023, the communication was reported to the authorities, and subsequent investigations by South Wales authorities led to the identification of an address in Stowmarket, where Luke Large was apprehended by Suffolk police officers.

In the course of investigations, electronic gadgets were confiscated from his residence. The inquiry uncovered photographs of the victim sent to other messaging accounts, as well as illicit images of minors retrieved from the internet. These comprised 11 photographs of a child classified under category A, 11 images of a child classified under category B, one image of a child classified under category C, and extreme pornography.

Subsequent examination of his phone revealed that another messaging application had been utilised the prior year to store and disseminate photographs and video links, in addition to communications with an unidentified female in which Luke Large repeatedly solicited sexual images.

Luke Large was subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and registered on the Sex Offenders Register for a duration of 10 years. He is required to participate in a rehabilitation activity program.

Investigating officer PC Kerrie Stephens from Suffolk Constabulary stated: “Luke Large is a reprehensible individual who employed blackmail to coerce young girls into sending him nude photographs under the threat of self-harm.”

“It regrettably illustrates the simplicity of targeting and manipulating children online, and underscores the perils of disseminating images and videos on the internet.”

“We extend our gratitude to South Wales Police for their support in this investigation.”
