Jason Smith, the Hardwick Rapist, who sexually assaulted a vulnerable lady in Cambridge, has been sentenced to nine years in prison.
On June 11, 2023, Jason Smith, 34, assaulted the victim at a residence in Kings Hedges while his partner and children were asleep upstairs.
The victim persistently urged Jason Smith to cease, yet he disregarded her pleas. He was apprehended on the same day and asserted during the interview that no sexual activity had occurred.
DNA evidence substantiated his conduct to the jury, resulting in a unanimous verdict of guilty on three counts of rape during a trial in July.
Jason Smith, residing on Main Street in Hardwick, near Cambridge, was sentenced yesterday, 29 September, at Peterborough Crown Court.
Jason Smith was mandated to register on the Sex Offenders Register for life and received a ten-year restraining order.
