A Hull Paedophile, David Glover, who sought to initiate sexual contact with someone he presumed to be a minor girl online, has been sentenced after appearing at Hull Crown Court on Monday, September 29, 2025.
David Glover, 65, of Preston Road, Hull, admitted to attempted sexual communication with a minor, violating a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, possessing severe pornographic photographs involving an animal, and three charges of producing indecent images of a child.
He received a term of two years and six months of incarceration and was issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
An inquiry commenced in September 2024, when David Glover utilised messaging applications to establish communication with a social media persona he presumed belonged to a 13-year-old girl.
On Tuesday, 10 September 2024, David Glover transmitted a series of sexually graphic messages and sought to incite the recipient to partake in sexual conversations.
Unbeknownst to him, the profile was a ruse managed by an undercover officer, established to locate and apprehend individuals seeking to exploit children online.
Specialist teams conducted additional enquiries, including the study of digital data. The data collected is directly associated with David Glover’s residential address.
Officers later visited David Glover’s residence, where he was apprehended on suspicion of engaging in sexual communication with a minor and put into custody for interrogation.
A search of the premises resulted in the confiscation of multiple mobile phones, including one device concealed beneath a carpet.
This finding led to a further arrest on the grounds of violating a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
One stipulation of the injunction mandated that David Glover register all internet-enabled gadgets with law enforcement, and the disguised devices had not been revealed.
Subsequent digital investigation revealed files pertaining to indecent images and extreme sexual content.
On Thursday, December 5, 2024, David Glover was charged with attempted sexual communication with a child and violation of a sexual harm prevention order and was remanded in custody until sentencing.
