John Reynolds, the Flintshire Paedophile, apprehended in an undercover police operation, was sentenced to five and a half years in prison in 2022. Judge Rhys Rowlands informed John Reynolds, 40, previously of Flintshire: “This constitutes a pattern of egregious conduct on your part that necessitates an immediate custodial sentence.”
He was convicted following a trial for the creation, possession, and distribution of sexual pictures of minors. Judge Rowlands at Mould Crown Court mandated that Reynolds, who participated via video link from Berwyn Jail in Wrexham, register as a sex offender eternally, and imposed a sexual harm prevention order.
The court stated that the jury had dismissed his ludicrous justification for his conduct. Defence counsel Simon Mills stated that John Reynolds had a prior commendable reputation. There is no proof that his distribution extended to the broader paedophile group.
“Links to the images went to undercover police operatives, counsel added.
John Reynolds had been hard-working, well-qualified and an expert in his particular industry. Lovely stuff.
Prosecutor Andrew Green said in the summer of 2019, police had posed online as paedophiles and had been in touch with John Reynolds. When police went to his home, he was away working in Europe.
Mr Green said John Reynolds was asked to bring an iPhone to a police station on his return to Britai,n but he claimed it had been lost.
