A British Guest, Palestinian asylum seeker from Gaza, and alleged Paedophile, Al-Najjar Amir Abdulrahim, 30, has appeared in court for allegedly attempting to engage in sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl through “sexual communications” that persisted for over 57 days till last Saturday.
The Palestinian refugee, Al-Najjar Amir Abdulrahim, studying English at a college in Stockton-on-Tees, Co Durham, attempted to arrange a meeting with the alleged youngster, believed to be a decoy.
He was arrested and detained when he attempted to see her last weekend with the intention of engaging in sexual behaviour.
Al-Najjar Amir Abdulrahim is accused of seeking to initiate sexual communication with a minor and attempting to meet a minor after grooming.
Manchester Justices of the Peace remanded him in custody to appear at the city’s Crown Court next month.
They concluded that no conditions could mitigate the risk of his reoffending while on bail; however, he was not deemed a flight risk.
Al-Najjar Amir Abdulrahim provided no indication of his plea during the brief hearing at Manchester Magistrates’ Court.
Al-Najjar Amir Abdulrahim reportedly had an interview with the Home Office on his immigration status earlier this month.
The manner and timing of his arrival from Gaza remain ambiguous, including who authorised his entry to Britain.
