A convicted Bournemouth Paedophile, Gary Chitticks, who violated court restrictions in an attempt to conceal his criminal history from his current girlfriend, has been sentenced to two years and eight months in prison.

Gary Chitticks, 41, failed to inform the police of his residence after relocating to Wearside from Bournemouth for a new relationship, as shown in Newcastle Crown Court.

He also neglected to register a new mobile phone, a requirement stipulated in an order issued during his incarceration in 2021 for attempting to engage in sexual activity with what he believed to be a minor.

Gary Chitticks acknowledged six more crimes pertaining to violations of court orders.

Gary Chitticks was sentenced to four years in prison in Bournemouth in 2021 after confessing to attempting to engage in sexual contact with a minor, stated prosecutor Ian Windridge.

The court was informed that he had been communicating with a decoy profile and proposed an in-person meeting for sexual purposes.

The prosecution stated that lifelong mandates were imposed on Gary Chitticks, obligating him to inform the police of his residence, a process referred to as registering as a sex offender, and to register any new internet-enabled gadgets with law enforcement.

New gadgets were required to maintain their internet search history.

In July of this year, Gary Chitticks contacted Northumbria Police to report that he was homeless and was in a state of vagrancy at Hetton-le-Hole, Sunderland, stated Mr Windridge.

Authorities located a cellphone number associated with Gary Chitticks, directing them to a woman residing in the Houghton-le-Spring vicinity.

The court was informed that the couple commenced their relationship in May.

The woman stated that they had spent a week together at a hotel in Bournemouth, after which he moved in with her, activities that Gary Chitticks should have reported to the police.

Upon his arrest in August, authorities discovered an unregistered mobile phone utilised by Gary Chitticks, configured to automatically erase its search history, along with a bank card using the identity Dave Chambers, as stated by Mr Windridge.

Judge Gavin Doig stated that Gary Chitticks, previously incarcerated for indecent exposure following his 2021 conviction, had “clearly attempted to conceal the truth” from the victim, and the violations were deemed “serious”.

He stated that the conditions of the court orders were “entirely non-negotiable” and that Gary Chitticks posed “excessively high a risk” to the public, warranting “the utmost seriousness” in their treatment.
