A Bramley Paedophile, Joshua Middleton, who was molested and recorded by a predatory paedophile with cognitive impairments, recounted before a court the “shame and embarrassment” he had experienced.
Joshua Middleton was sentenced to incarceration at Leeds Crown Court today for many sexual crimes.
The 28-year-old offender was apprehended when an obscene image of a youngster was uploaded to the internet via Snapchat and linked back to his residence.
He was apprehended and his mobile device confiscated. Authorities discovered several indecent photographs of minors on the device, including Category A images and films depicting the most egregious forms of abuse.
Nonetheless, there were also images and films that Joshua Middleton had captured himself.
The 12-year-old victim, whose identity is protected for legal reasons, was located and subsequently informed the police that Joshua Middleton had lowered the child’s trousers while recording him and had stroked his exposed genitals.
A video was discovered in which Joshua Middleton instructed the youngster to pose with his buttocks exposed.
In a victim impact statement delivered by prosecutor Soheil Khan, the kid expressed: “I felt extremely frightened and disoriented.”
I initially believed I would face repercussions, but I now recognise that it was not my responsibility. No one should ever endure the feelings I have experienced. I experienced embarrassment and shame. “It has significantly impacted me.” It has complicated my existence.
The boy’s mother presented her personal impact statement to the court. Struggling to contain her emotions, she stated that her son’s abuse has had a “catastrophic effect” on her family.
She stated that her child is “overwhelmed with trauma and shame” and remarked, “It is distressing to witness our child endure this.” We experience profound guilt while not being at fault.
It has inflicted profound and enduring damage on our child and our family as a whole.
Joshua Middleton, residing at Poplar Court, Bramley, confessed to inducing a child under 13 to participate in sexual conduct, committing sexual assault against a child under 13, and possessing 250 Category A photographs and videos, 182 in Category B, and 217 in Category C.
He also acknowledged holding explicit pornographic photos and illegal materials.
Judge Robin Mairs stated that the boy’s family had been compelled to undergo an ordeal they never anticipated.
He sentenced Joshua Middleton to 30 months of incarceration, placed him on the lifelong sex offender registry, and issued a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) to enable authorities to oversee his conduct.
