A HMP Holme House Paedophile sexual predator, Donald Eaton, incarcerated for years for assaulting a schoolboy, has died in prison from severe liver cancer, as confirmed by a recent report.
Donald Eaton was incarcerated at HMP Holme House in County Durham in October 2023.
He received a 12-year sentence after being convicted of 13 counts of indecent assault against a single victim from 1988 to 1991.
A report from the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman (PPO), released last month, confirmed that Donald Eaton died 14 months into his sentence.
The PPO report indicated that Donald Eaton passed away on Christmas Day 2024, at the age of 73.
The report said that he succumbed to liver cancer. An inquest conducted on August 28, 2025, determined that Donald Eaton succumbed to natural causes.
A clinical study commissioned by NHS England and a non-clinical investigation done by the PPO were undertaken subsequent to Donald Eaton’s death.
The clinical review determined that Donald Eaton received an adequate standard of treatment.
The PPO report said that no recommendations were issued subsequent to the investigations.
