A 60-year-old Kettering Paedophile, Roland Philip Holmes, has been incarcerated for over three years after acknowledging his violation of the conditions of his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

Roland Philip Holmes, formerly of Kettering, received a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) in November 2024 after being convicted of sexual communication with a minor and inducing a female child under 13 to participate in a sexual act.

The SHPO was imposed with specific terms, including a prohibition on any contact or communication with individuals under the age of 18, as well as a restriction against possessing any image or photograph, whether physical or electronic, of a female under the age of 18.

On June 25 of this year, Roland Philip Holmes was approached by police officers and representatives from the Probation Service, who discovered numerous photos of a teenage girl on his phone.

The MOSOVO team at Northamptonshire Police initiated an investigation and discovered that the individual in the photographs was a 17-year-old girl from Russia with whom Holmes had been communicating for approximately one month.

Roland Philip Holmes was apprehended and subsequently indicted on two charges of violating his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

On July 1, 2025, Roland Philip Holmes appeared at Northampton Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to both charges. He returned to the same court on August 14, where he was sentenced to three years and one month in prison.
