A Cwmbran Paedophile Child Molester sexual offender, John Paul Hughes, who received a one-year prison sentence for grooming and abusing an 11-year-old child over a three-year period is currently residing in Cwmbran.
He has been observed walking his dog and prompting children to pet it.
In 2008, John Paul Hughes was convicted of child sexual assault and the distribution of a controlled substance to a minor.
Judge Christopher Morton sentenced Hughes to 12 months’ imprisonment for the sexual crime and an additional 12 months for the distribution of cannabis.
John Paul Hughes consistently sexually assaulted the girl over a three-year period after intoxicating her with cannabis.
John Paul Hughes was prohibited from engaging in any employment involving minors.
He was mandated to register with the police as a sex offender for the subsequent ten years. However, that period has concluded, and he is no longer under surveillance.
