A Stoke-on-Trent Paedophile sex offender, Ben Bryan, apprehended with a teenage girl concealed under a blanket, who he had kidnapped, in his vehicle has been sentenced to JUST six and a half years in prison.

Ben Bryan, 34, exploited the schoolgirl on Snapchat and Roblox prior to going from Staffordshire to see the 14-year-old.

At 2:20 AM on Sunday, October 24, 2024, cops stopped Bryan’s blue Ford Mondeo on Clifton Drive, Lytham St Annes, due to a malfunctioning tail light and the absence of a valid MOT.

Upon inquiry regarding the object concealed behind the blanket in the passenger seat, he responded, ‘It is merely my friend; she is cold.’

Daniel Bramhall, representing the prosecution, informed Preston Crown Court that Ben Bryan stated to officers that the girl was 15 and ‘did not perceive any issue with transporting a 15-year-old girl during the early hours of the morning.’

Upon inquiry on his acquaintance with the teenager, Ben Bryan stated that they had been conversing online for an extended period. Upon unlocking the phone, officers found messages from Ben Bryan to the girl stating: “I love you, I miss you, I can’t wait to see you.” I will rendezvous with you at….

Ben Bryan was apprehended on allegations of sexual grooming and refuted any sexual interest in minors, asserting to the authorities that he had conversed with and embraced the girl, but no further actions had occurred.

In a specialised interview, the adolescent stated that the initial encounter with Bryan occurred when he collected her from school while she was in uniform, but it ‘had not transpired favourably.’

She stated that he had begun requesting sexual acts, which caused her discomfort, and she contemplated contacting her mother, who was unaware of her location.

She stated that Ben Bryan had caressed her leg and attempted to remove her blazer, but she had repelled him.

He attempted to remove her tights while exposing himself and participating in sexual behaviour, she stated.

On the night they were halted in the vehicle, she stated that Ben Bryan had contacted her via Roblox and was outside her window at 2 AM, calling for her to come down.

He instructed her to enter the vehicle, claiming he had something for her, which ultimately revealed itself to be a collection of vapes.

Upon her entry, he accelerated and refused to halt despite her requests to be released.

She stated that he also provided her with an iPhone, instructing her to keep it confidential from her parents and to use it just for communication with him.

Ben Bryan, residing on Ash Bank Road in Stoke-on-Trent, admitted guilt to charges of child grooming, child abduction, non-penetrative sexual activity, inciting a child to participate in sexual activity, participating in sexual conduct in the presence of a child, and engaging in sexual communication.

In a victim impact statement, the mother of the girl stated that her daughter had experienced emotional distress due to her incident.

She said she had become angry and pushed her mother away and had lashed out physically. She could not understand as she thought the defendant was in love with her, and her schooling had been affected by what had happened, her mum added.

Sentencing, Judge Richard Gioserano said: “it is clear the child abduction was for a sexual purpose, even if you say it was so you could provide her with a mobile phone to continue your sexual grooming of her and to arrange to meet up on further occasions.
