Back in 2022, the 43-year-old Cleveland Police officer, PC Clare Ogden, was permanently barred from law enforcement after recording herself doing a solitary sexual act in the station’s restrooms.
PC Clare Ogden sent a video of herself engaging in a sexual act on police property while on duty and in uniform, which she consistently acknowledged as egregious misbehaviour. She also consented to recording confidential material on her own mobile phone, some of which she transmitted to a third party for amusement.
A tribunal panel determined that both claims constituted gross misconduct and ruled that, had she continued as a police officer, she would have been prohibited from the force.
