A self-proclaimed Worksop Paedophile “dangerous” man, Reece Green, at the beginning of child molesting “career”, who sexually assaulted a young boy and exchanged explicit chats with children across the world has been jailed.

Reece Green, 22 years old, sexually molested the youngster on no fewer than three occasions before photographing him in a state of undress.

He was apprehended following the receipt of intelligence by Nottinghamshire Police indicating that an obscene film of a child had been posted to the internet from a location in Worksop.

Investigators confiscated four mobile phones owned by Reece Green and uncovered thousands of illicit photographs of minors stored on the devices.

The investigation revealed that, in addition to capturing some indecent photographs, Reece Green mostly downloaded and viewed indecent images of children, thereafter transmitting tens of thousands of sexualised communications to ten adolescents aged 13 to 16 whom he encountered on social media.

The victims resided in nations such as the United States, Canada, Argentina, Northern Ireland, and Wales, and in certain instances, Reece Green effectively provoked them to participate in sexual activities.

Nottinghamshire Police’s Public Protection unit coordinated with multiple law enforcement agencies to safeguard victims and bring Reece Green to justice.

At his sentencing hearing at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday (15 July), Reece Green was handed an extended 10-year sentence that comprises six years and eight months in prison, followed by a four-year extended licence period.

In total, Reece Green went on to plead guilty to:

  • Sexual assault of a child under 13 – one count
