A convicted Cardiff paedophile, Lewis Ware, who sought to engage in sexual behaviour with a minor, has been incarcerated for failing to reveal a mobile phone and his address to the authorities. He attempted to inhibit access to his phone by inadequately utilising his thumb on the scanner.
In 2023, Lewis Ware, 20, was subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and sex offender notification requirements after being convicted of communicating with a decoy posing as a 14-year-old girl. He possesses convictions for assault by penetration, sexual assault, and engaging in sexual communication with a minor, in addition to several violations of the orders imposed upon him.
Subsequent to his release from custody on February 17 of this year, he neglected to report to a police station within three days to inform the authorities of his home.
Lewis Ware, from Broadway, Cardiff, subsequently admitted admission to two charges of violating a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and failing to comply with sex offender notification obligations.
Judge Eugene Egan imposed a sentence of 40 weeks of incarceration on Lewis Ware.
