A convicted Kingston Upon Hull Paedophile sex offender, Thomas Edeson, previously incarcerated for two years for inappropriately touching a girl and capturing obscene images of her, has been informed: “You continue to be a perilous sexual offender.”
Thomas Edeson was incarcerated in 2021 due to his concerning sexual attraction to minors; nevertheless, he subsequently violated a 10-year sexual harm prevention order and encountered legal issues once more. He had before retained photographs for his personal sexual pleasure. However, Thomas Edeson was ultimately apprehended after three years after online crime investigators located him following the emergence of unsettling material, as presented in Hull Crown Court.
Thomas Edeson, 26, of Franklin Street, Hull, confessed to fresh crimes including the disclosure of private images between January 1 and February 2 of the previous year, as well as violating his sexual harm prevention order between June 1, 2023, and February 2 of the prior year.
Michael Masson, for the prosecution, stated that Thomas Edeson was sentenced to two years in prison and issued a ten-year sexual harm prevention order in August 2021 for the offences of sexually touching a minor and two counts of producing indecent photos of her between May and August 2018. Thomas Edeson was acquitted of more severe sexual offences during a trial earlier this year.
Thomas Edeson was given a nine-month suspended prison sentence. He will continue to be subject to the sexual harm prevention order and he will have to continue to register as a sex offender.
Thomas Edeson had, at the time, been having a sexual interest in pre-pubescent girls for some years. The girl was left confused, scared and worried by what happened.
