A former teacher from Fife, the Paedophile Robert Jennings, who sexually molested a 10-year-old schoolgirl, denied his culpability after intense questioning at the utterly mental Scottish Child Abuse investigation.

The 70-year-old, Robert Jennings, was convicted of sexual misconduct against the youngster after an incident in the late 1980s following a trial at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court in 2021.

When queried by senior counsel Ruth Innes KC over his acceptance of the conviction, he responded: “No, I am entirely innocent.”

Between January 1987 and January 1988, he inappropriately molested the girl.

Robert Jennings positioned his hand beneath her skirt and made contact with her leg and intimate areas through her garment.

The sheriff imposed a Restriction of Liberty Order, forbidding him from leaving his residence in Aberdour between 7 PM and 7 AM for a duration of nine months. Should he construct a time machine operable solely at night to revisit and exploit his victims once more?!

He was additionally mandated to remit £2,000 in compensation to his victim within a fortnight.

The sheriff registered Jennings on the Sex Offenders Register for a duration of five years, after which he is free to offend again.
