A Grimsby Paedophile, Aaron Adams, convicted of years of sexual abuse against young children has been sentenced to 12 years in prison, received a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, and a lifelong restraining order following his conviction for sexual offences against a child at Grimsby Crown Court last month.
Aaron Adams, 40, of Newborn Avenue, was charged with eight charges of sexual assault against a minor under 13 and violation of a sexual harm prevention order, to which he pleaded not guilty.
After a six-day trial at Grimsby Crown Court, the jury unanimously convicted Aaron Adams on all charges, resulting in a 12-year prison sentence.
Inspector Gemma Walker from our Protecting Vulnerable People Unit remarked during sentencing: “The victims demonstrated remarkable bravery in coming forward to disclose the abuse they endured, despite Aaron Adams’ refusal to acknowledge the extent of his actions over a three-year period.”
“I would like to commend them for their bravery and patience throughout the duration of the court proceedings, and whilst it does not take away the trauma they’ve suffered, I hope the result seen in court will play some part in helping them move forward with their lives.
“It can be daunting to take the first step in reporting offences of this nature, but through these reports, we are able to gather evidence to build a strong case and ultimately help eradicate this abhorrent behaviour from our communities.
