A Gravesend Paedophile, Joginder Mahay, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for the assault of two young girls back in 2018.
Joginder Mahay, 51, of St Johns Hill, Sevenoaks, was convicted of six counts of rape and further grave sexual offences.
The youngsters were subjected to abuse by Joginder Mahay in Gravesend from 2000 to 2007, beginning at the ages of seven and nine.
Judge Julian Smith at Maidstone Crown Court informed Joginder Mahay that, in addition to the jail term, he would be subject to five years of license supervision.
Joginder Mahay was permanently placed on the sex offenders register and issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Detective Constable Fleur Hardie of Kent Police praised the courage of the girls for “speaking up” after enduring years of abuse.
“Despite the abuse being reported, [Joginder Mahay] persisted in denying the offences and subjected the girls and their families to the challenges of a trial,” she stated.
