A child rapist, Paedophile Wayne Domeney, and former ‘hero paratrooper’ who trained Prince William, served with Prince Harry, and drank Guinness with King Charles, has died at HMP Isle of Wight before the King could give him a pardon.

Wayne Domeney, aged 58 at the time of his demise, was convicted of multiple child sexual crimes over a four-year period in February 2018.

A former soldier passed away at HMP Isle of Wight on December 31, 2024, and a fatal event report released this month indicates that an investigation is underway.

In February 2018, 51-year-old Wayne Domeney was convicted of four charges of rape of a minor, three counts of assault by penetration against a minor, three counts of engaging in sexual behaviour with a child, two counts of inciting a juvenile to participate in sexual conduct, and one count of witness intimidation.

Wayne Domeney, absent during his five-day trial, evaded capture, initiating a two-week high-profile manhunt until surrendering at a police station in Basingstoke, where he was subsequently sentenced to 17 years at Birmingham Crown Court.

Wayne Domeney, formerly known as Wayne Rackham and residing in County Durham, enlisted in the army in 1985, attaining the rank of Warrant Officer Sergeant Major, with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as service in Northern Ireland.

Throughout a career lasting nearly 25 years, Wayne Domeney, a member of 2 Para, asserted that he interacted with William and Harry, escorted Diana through Bosnian minefields, and consumed pints of Guinness with Charles.

Wayne Domeney, once known as a heroic paratrooper, departed from the army in 2009 and perpetrated a series of child sex offences from 2010 to 2014.
