A serial predator Paedophile, Anthony ‘Danny’ Burns, who extorted numerous women and girls globally into humiliating sexual activities has been sentenced to 24 years in prison.
Anthony ‘Danny’ Burns, 39, engaged with his victims online, convincing them to transmit intimate photographs or undress during video chats that he clandestinely recorded.
He would subsequently threaten to disseminate the images to their relatives if they did not acquiesce, utilising this leverage to solicit more filthy photographs and videos.
In one instance, he compelled a woman in the United States to mistreat her own daughter on his sake.
According to authorities, Anthony ‘Danny’ Burns’ 40 victims comprised four minors, although their precise ages remain unverified.
Among them, 27 were subjected to control and coercion from 2018 to 2020, with several resorting to self-harm or attempted suicide.
His diverse tactics encompassed impersonating a modelling scout, feigning the role of a police officer, and fabricating profiles on dating applications.
The 39-year-old, Anthony ‘Danny’ Burns, was previously convicted of sexually grooming a 14-year-old girl in 2010, at the age of 25, and for promoting child prostitution in 2013.
Two of his recent assaults were perpetrated in collaboration with another notorious internet predator, Abdul Elahi, who was sentenced to 32 years in prison in 2021 for analogous crimes against 72 victims.
In one instance, Anthony ‘Danny’ Burns impersonated a National Crime Agency (NCA) investigator to harass the mother of one of Elahi’s victims.
A judge stated: ‘You elevated her expectations that photographs of her daughter could be located and eliminated, only to subsequently extinguish them with cruelty.’
The NCA previously characterised Anthony ‘Danny’ Burns as a ‘disciple’ of Elahi, who instructed him in methods and provided scripts for addressing victims.
During his sentencing hearing, Judge Sarah Buckingham stated that he was no longer a ‘junior partner.’
The court stated, “You incited him.” You exhibited a complete disregard for court orders designed to limit your actions.
Following his arrest, a search of his residence revealed over a thousand indecent photos of youngsters and extreme pornography depicting sexual acts with animals, according to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
Anthony ‘Danny’ Burns acknowledged 39 offences and was convicted of two additional charges of inducing a girl under the age of 13 to participate in sexual behaviour.
Bethany Raine, Specialist Prosecutor for the CPS, stated: ‘Anthony ‘Danny’ Burns had a compulsive desire to manipulate women and children into engaging in more degraded sexual actions online for his personal gratification.’
Anthony ‘Danny’ Burns demeaned and degraded women. They found themselves ensnared in a web of terror, where their own likenesses were utilised as instruments of manipulation and extortion, rendering them susceptible to his immoral demands.
