David Whiteside lived on the streets of Liverpool after perpetrating egregious crimes of sexual abuse against a young child.
The 36-year-old perpetrated rape against the youngster on nine occasions and engaged in five further acts of sexual abuse in Kirkby.
David Whiteside, residing on Prescot Road in Old Swan, subsequently refuted his offences in court, compelling the woman to recount his heinous acts during the trial.
His victim stated that she could not enter Liverpool city centre, where she was aware he solicited, due to fears of encountering him.
David Whiteside was convicted on nine charges of child rape, four counts of sexual assault against a girl, and one count of engaging in sexual behaviour in the presence of a minor.
A judge declared David Whiteside an offender of “particular concern” and sentenced him to 13 years and nine months in prison, with an additional one-year licence period.
