Convicted rapist, and Litherland Paedophile, James Farquhar travelled abroad on two occasions, including a trip to the Philippines, without notifying the authorities.
James Farquhar, who completed a 12-year jail sentence in 2005 for the repeated rape of a teenage girl, was obligated to inform the police whenever he filed for a passport or travelled overseas, as mandated by the Sex Offenders Register.
He applied for a passport in November 2019, and the subsequent March, he travelled to the Philippines for a month-long vacation.
The offender management of the 62-year-old was informed about the excursion upon his return, prompting an investigation into the procurement of his passport.
Nevertheless, James Farquhar was not interrogated by law enforcement until November 2020, after having spent a week on the Greek island of Cos a few weeks prior.
James Farquhar, residing on Ford Lane in Litherland but previously from Southport, acknowledged three violations of the Sex Offender Register stipulations.
He was incarcerated for nine months.
