Vaclav Kopcil, the Portsmouth Paedophile, has been sentenced to 18 years in prison after being convicted of sexual offences. Vaclav Kopcil, 52, of All Saints Road, Portsmouth, was convicted of child assault with penetration, engaging in sexual conduct with a minor, and two charges of rape of a female under 16 years of age.

The trial revealed that the offences occurred in the Portsmouth region over a five-year span from September 2009 to April 2014. The victim was merely 10 years old at the time of the initial offence.

Vaclav Kopcil pleaded not guilty to the offences, however a jury found him guilty on all counts following a seven day trial. Vaclav Kopcil appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court where he was sentenced for 18 years in prison.
