Two Black British Luton Rapists, Tyquante Reid and his 16-year-old boyfriend, who alternated in sexually assaulting an 18-year-old English lady, have been incarcerated.
Tyquante Reid, aged 18, and his 16-year-old male partner, whose identity is protected for legal purposes, exhibited alarming predatory behaviour while preying upon a vulnerable adolescent in Wigan.
The woman, having been estranged from her companions, was observed by the teenagers when she was denied access to Popworld nightclub in Wigan due to her inebriation, according to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
Tyquante Reid and the adolescent thereafter ‘escorted’ her into a taxi and transported her to a flat, where they alternated in sexually assaulting her.
Tyquante Reid, a 17-year-old resident of Dallow Road in Luton, Bedfordshire, was incarcerated for a duration of six years and eight months.
The 16-year-old, without a permanent residence, received a sentence of six years and six months.
Both individuals denied the charges but were found guilty following a trial and subsequently jailed at Manchester Crown Court on Tuesday, 29 November.
A CPS spokesman said, “The woman begged to be allowed to go home, but they told her she could only leave after she performed oral sex on them.
“At 01.55 am, she called 911 on the pretext of taking a call from a taxi. She had been in the flat for 45 minutes.
“She reported that she had been raped by two men and had no idea where she was. The operator advised her to leave the flat and knock on a door for help.
“A neighbour took her inside and waited with her until the police arrived.
“When the defendants saw the police car arrive from the flat window, they quickly left the flat and got a taxi out of the area.”
Following a trial in October, Tyquante Reid was found guilty of two counts of rape and the 16-year-old was found guilty of two counts of rape and one count of assault by penetration.
Wendy Chappell, Senior Crown Prosecutor for CPS North West, called them ‘dangerous sexual predators’.
She said: “These two young men showed disturbing predatory behaviour when they targeted a woman, who was clearly vulnerable through drink, in order to rape her.
“They put the woman through the further traumatic ordeal of having to relive her experience by testifying against them at a trial.
“I would like to commend this extremely brave young woman for her quick thinking in reporting it to the police and seeking safety.
“Her courageous actions have undoubtedly saved other women from harm at the hands of these dangerous sexual predators.”
