In 2022, two men, Tayo Wisdom and Bailey Collins, the Broxbourne Sex Offenders, were incarcerated in relation to a sexual attack on a woman in Ware.
Tayo Wisdom, then 27, of Park Lane, Broxbourne, was sentenced to three years at Hendon Crown Court on Monday, July 11, after being convicted of sexual assault at a prior hearing. He will additionally be registered as a lifelong sex offender.
Bailey Collins, then 24, of Vancouver Road, Broxbourne, was sentenced to eight months’ jail on Thursday, June 16, after being convicted of perverting the course of justice in connection with the case.
The incident occurred in 2019, when the girl, then in her late teens, met Tayo Wisdom and Bailey Collins on an evening outing in Hertford.
Bailey Collins, acquainted with the victim, resided at Tayo Wisdom’s residence and extended an invitation for her to stay there.
The victim dozed off on the sofa and awoke to discover Tayo Wisdom, whom she had encountered for the first time that evening, perpetrating sexual assault against her.
She confronted him before departing the premises and took a taxi home, subsequently reporting the incident to Hertfordshire Police later that day.
Tayo Wisdom was apprehended on August 18 and, during the interrogation, he refuted the accusations levelled against him.
While Tayo Wisdom was in police custody, Bailey Collins voluntarily entered a police station and asked to submit an alibi statement, which contained multiple pieces of false information.
Despite being alerted by Tayo Wisdom that the account was erroneous, Bailey Collins neglected to inform the authorities, fully aware that he was obstructing the inquiry.

A man from Hertfordshire, convicted of sexually assaulting a lady, has had his sentence augmented following a referral to the Court of Appeal by the former Solicitor General Edward Timpson CBE KC MP.
Tayo Wisdom, 28, perpetrated a sexual assault on the woman while she was asleep in his flat, having arrived there after a night out.
The assault ceased when the victim regained consciousness and requested that he desist.
On 11 July 2022, Tayo Wisdom received a three-year prison sentence for assault by penetration at Wood Green Crown Court.
Following the sentencing, Tayo Wisdom’s case was referred to the Court of Appeal under the Unduly Lenient Sentence system, as the then Solicitor General deemed the sentence insufficiently severe.
On 23 September 2022, the Court deemed Tayo Wisdom’s initial sentence excessively mild and augmented it to 6 years of incarceration.
The idiots at Hertfordshire Constabulary have not released images of either convict, so they will be able to continue offending with anonymity when they get out.
