Back in 2021, Shahmaan Ahmed, a Newham Paedophile, who came to a town with the intention of sexually assaulting a youngster, was sentenced to eight years in prison.

Shahmaan Ahmed, 29, from London, was apprehended in Reading by law enforcement who fabricated two imaginary children to entrap him in a sting operation in August.

Upon his arrest, police officers discovered that Shahmaan Ahmed had brought sweets to distribute to his intended victims.

In delivering the sentence, Judge Kirsty Real expressed her certainty that he would have perpetrated abuse against the children had they been genuine.

The court was informed that Shahmaan Ahmed had been communicating with an undercover officer to facilitate sexual encounters with two imaginary children, aged eight and three.

Thames Valley Police reported that upon seizing his mobile phone, they discovered evidence of explicit chat logs involving other minors.

A jury convicted Shahmaan Ahmed of four counts related to the orchestration of child sexual offences in February.

Shahmaan Ahmed, residing on Roman Road in Newham, London, entered a plea of not guilty to the charges.

In mitigation, the court was told he felt “a real sense of revulsion over what he wrote” in the messages.

Judge Real, who described the messages as “extensive and abhorrent”, also made him subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Online paedophile investigator Det Con Nick Hook said: “Despite the deterrent sentences like this provide, sadly, there will always be people out there willing to take the risk.

“We’re watching them. You can’t be on the internet committing this kind of crime and not expect the police to be involved, and we’ll do what we can to prevent this thing from happening.”

There were 176 arrests relating to online grooming and sexual communication with children across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire last year.
