In 2023, the Offender Database reported that Sean Golder, the Pembroke Dock Paedophile Child Molester, a former corporal in the Royal Engineers, was sentenced to 19 months in prison.
He was found guilty of
- attempting to meet a child following grooming
- arranging the commission of a child sexual offence
- attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child
- two counts of having a knife in a public place
Sean Golder, then 54, began messaging a young boy on social media on March 8, saying he was on his way to Carmarthen and was “looking for fun”.
A meeting was organised, but it was cancelled; the pair exchanged numbers and continued the conversation on WhatsApp.
Sean Golder, from Pembrokeshire, asked the ‘boy’ for a photograph, and when the officer sent one, he replied, “Wow, is that really you? I need you to run here now.”
“It is plainly very obviously a picture of a young boy, I would say no older than 14,” said Recorder Simon Mills. “The very idea that he thought the person was an adult is simply ludicrous.”
The court heard that Sean Golder’s profile name was “longsuck” and his profile picture was of an erect penis.
The court heard Sean Golder was found to have searched for “naked children”, “naked teen schoolgirls” and “young boys naked on his phone”, and was alleged to have been found with two knives.
Sean Golder must register as a sex offender for 10 years, and was made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for the same period of time.
