In 2019, the Offender Database reported that Robert Cook, a Middlesbrough Paedophile Child Molester, who permitted children inside his residence despite a court order, was supposedly “currently incarcerated”, serving an indefinite sentence.

Robert Cook, then 75, received an Imprisonment for Public Protection (IPP) term, akin to life imprisonment, for the sexual assault of an eight-year-old girl in 2008.

Designated as a perilous offender posing a significant threat to children, he was additionally issued a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO).

He was prohibited from permitting individuals under the age of 16 into his residence under the indefinite injunction.

While on licence, he violated the Sexual Offences Prevention Order by having children in his Guisborough flat, as presented in Teesside Crown Court.

On September 28, 30, and October 5, 6, and 7 of the previous year, the youngsters were monitored by people in their residence, not the police.

Prosecutor Emma Atkinson stated that the visits were recorded on CCTV.

On one occasion, two youngsters were present in his residence for 71 minutes.

She stated, “The adults have been consulted and declined to furnish any statement to the police.”

Robert Cook, previously associated with The Crescent, Linthorpe, Middlesbrough, acknowledged six violations of the SOPO, which may result in a maximum term of four and a half years.

The offences resulted in the revocation of his licence for the 2008 crimes, and he was reincarcerated to serve additional time on the initial indeterminate sentence.

In November of the previous year, Teesside magistrates issued a community order for a comparable violation involving a youngster residing in his house.

The court was informed that he attempted to prevent two adults from taking a girl with them.

In 2008, he was incarcerated for a minimum of two and a half years for three sexual attacks on a minor at his residence in Middlesbrough.

Robert Cook was incarcerated for eight months but continues to serve an indefinite sentence.
