Back in 2003, Ray Downing, the Bakewell Paedophile, 69, of Derbyshire, was sentenced to eight months in prison for the indecent assault of a teenage girl with a mental age of eight.

He informed Derby Crown Court that he was instructing the adolescent on sexual matters by masturbating on her.

Ray Downing, whose son was unjustly incarcerated for 27 years for murder, formed a friendship with the 17-year-old girl in September 2001.

The court was informed that the pensioner was unclothed in her bedroom, and Ray Downing acknowledged that inappropriate physical contact occurred.

During sentencing, Judge Peter Stretton stated: “You intruded upon a dysfunctional family and exploited your authority to conduct yourself in the manner that has been recounted to me.”

“It is inconceivable that anyone could have perceived your behaviour as sexual education.”

Ray Downing, who fainted in the courtroom during sentencing, will be required to undergo an extended licence period of three years and four months and will be governed by the provisions of the Sexual Offenders Act for a duration of 10 years.

Fifteen further charges of indecent assault involving five other women will be retained in the records.

Is Ray Downing dead? Or still involved in teaching Sex Education?
