In 2022, Lukas Masaulis, the Leicester Sex Offender, confronted and assaulted the two ladies in Leicester city centre during the early hours of Sunday, 7 August.
Subsequent to photographing them, Lukas Masaulis sexually attacked them once again and indecently exposed himself.
Lukas Masaulis, then 25, was sentenced to 16 months in prison at Leicester Crown Court on Friday.
The police reported that Lukas Masaulis allegedly spat at two officers during his detention.
Lukas Masaulis, who is homeless, pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault, two counts of assaulting an emergency responder, and one count of indecent exposure at Leicester Magistrates’ Court in August.
The authorities stated that photographs captured by the women, in conjunction with CCTV footage from that evening, contributed to incarcerating their assailant.
Detective Superintendent Chris Baker stated, “During the interview, Lukas Masaulis candidly acknowledged that he regarded himself as a threat to women.”
This constituted an egregious transgression against two women who were relishing an evening in the city, perpetrated by a man who exhibited neither respect nor contrition. His conduct was deplorable.
“Their courage is evidenced by their pursuit of him and the photographs they captured, which contributed to securing his conviction.”
The two women have received commendation for bravely pursuing and documenting a man who had sexually abused them.
