Found guilty of several non-recent sexual acts against a minor, Basildon Paedophile Lee Miles has been sentenced to eighteen years in jail. Found guilty of nine sexual offences, including four charges of rape of a child under 13, Lee Miles, 51, formerly of Studley Road, Forest Gate, appeared at Basildon Crown Court on Thursday, 18 April, for sentence.

The sentence ends a three-year inquiry by the Child Abuse Investigation Team of Essex Police. July 2021 saw the start of the inquiry when police received a report outlining several major sexual assaults against a youngster occurring in Southend over four years.

Lee Miles rejected all charges during an interview after being detained in August 2021.

Officers were able to charge him with four charges of rape of a kid under 13, two counts of participating in sexual behaviour in the presence of a child, two counts of making a child view a sexual act and two counts of sexual assault of a child under 13 notwithstanding his denial.

Lee Miles was guilty of nine charges after being remanded into custody and undergoing a week-long trial at Basildon Crown Court. He was found not guilty on one count of causing a child to see a sexual act.

The court recently condemned him to eighteen years with an additional four-year licence. Lee Miles also received a restraining order and a sexual harm prevention order.
