In 2022, Jay Steel, the London Sex Offender, a “deviant” masseur who sexually attacked two women during massage therapy in London, was incarcerated.
Jay Steel, 60, was sentenced in 2022 to 18 months of incarceration after being convicted of five counts of sexual assault.
Southwark Crown Court was informed that Jay Steel had promoted his services online, including deep tissue massages.
Two ladies were sexually attacked during distinct incidents on February 27, 2017, and in April 2019.
Following the initial encounter at a location in Southwark, the woman notified the police about the assault. Jay Steel was apprehended on March 1 but was freed pending inquiry after refuting the claims.
The subsequent attack occurred in March 2019 at a location near Dollis Hill. The event was reported to the authorities; however, Jay Steel once more refuted any wrongdoing, asserting that he had merely provided professional massage services as outlined in his advertisement.
He was indicted in April 2021.
Detective Constable Victoria Gaunt spearheaded the investigation and stated: “Jay Steel is a sexual predator who exploited the pretence of a masseuse to assault women who trusted him for his own depraved satisfaction.”
The women whom Steel mistreated have demonstrated remarkable strength and bravery in reporting their experiences to the police and aiding our investigation – I hope his conviction provides them with a measure of justice.
Jay Steel probably executed other assaults while impersonating a masseuse. I urge any ladies who believe they have been victims of Steel to come forward and report to the authorities.
