Ian Hendry, the Fife and Perthshire Rapist, a 54-year-old man, has been convicted of sexual and violent crimes against women spanning 35 years in the Fife and Perthshire regions.
Ian Hendry was convicted of crimes including rape, assaults, and aggravated assaults during a trial at the High Court in Edinburgh on Thursday, 16 October 2025.
The offences occurred in the Fife and Perthshire regions from 1987 to 2022. The ex-dog trainer was additionally convicted of mistreating animals under his supervision.
Ian Hendry is scheduled for sentencing at the High Court in Edinburgh on Tuesday, 25 November 2025.
Detective Constable Dan Cogan stated: “Ian Hendry’s criminal behaviour extended over decades, during which he inflicted prolonged physical and sexual abuse on women, persisting for several years.”
Police Scotland has not commented on how or why it took 35 years to catch this horrific predator.
