Ewing Gilmour Paedophile rapist sex offender Chichester

A “DANGEROUS” sexual predator, Ewing Gilmour Selsey Paedophile, who attempted to assault a schoolgirl in an alleyway, only to be thwarted by her courageous resistance, has been incarcerated. Ewing Gilmour, aged 21, encountered a 13-year-old girl in Chichester, West Sussex, on the morning of Wednesday, May 29, of the previous year.

He conversed with her before to ambushing her in an alleyway and perpetrating sexual assault.

However, the girl, whose identity is protected for legal reasons, escaped and fled before notifying the authorities.

A photograph of Ewing Gilmour was disseminated on social media prior to his identification, arrest, and subsequent charges of attempted child rape.

Ewing Gilmour, from Selsey, West Sussex, refuted the charge but was sentenced to seven years’ incarceration with an extended term of three years following a jury’s conviction at Portsmouth Crown Court.

The Judge reprimanded Ewing Gilmour for his “audacious and resolute attempt to sexually assault a vulnerable 13-year-old victim.”

Investigating officer Steve Holden of Sussex Police stated, “This was an attempted serious sexual assault, and it was the victim’s bravery at the time that averted a more severe outcome.”

“The victim has exhibited resilience throughout the legal proceedings, and I wish to express my gratitude to her for that.”

He stated, “Furthermore, I would like to express my gratitude to all members of the public who supplied CCTV footage and other information during the time of the incident and throughout our investigation.”

“With their assistance, a perilous offender – who has exhibited no contrition for his deeds – has been recognised and incarcerated.”
