Over the course of seven years, a Newcastle Paedophile from the North East, Daniel Hannigan, collected and shared images of sick children being sexually abused with other paedos. Daniel Hannigan was discovered in possession of a collection of 700 disgusting pictures, 21 of which he shared with others.
According to the court, the 22-year-old possessed 258 static and moving category A images, the most dangerous type that depict children engaging in penetrating sexual behaviour.
Daniel Hannigan, who used to live in Byker but now doesn’t have a stable address, is facing jail time after entering a guilty plea to three charges of disseminating pornographic photos of children, three counts of creating pornographic images of children, and one act of possessing a forbidden image of a kid this week.
The offences occurred from March 28, 2017, until August 19, 2024.
“These are matters that almost certainly are outside of your sentencing powers,” Mark Harrison, the defence attorney, told Newcastle Magistrates’ Court.They include both mere possession and the circulation of category A photos. These are cases that will most likely be sent to the crown court for sentencing.
The prosecution’s Carlie McArdle went on to state: “Yes, it’s distribution of category A images, so the crown court would say outside of your sentencing powers.”
Daniel Hannigan was brought to Newcastle Crown Court for sentencing after magistrates determined they couldn’t resolve the matter.
On conditional bond, he was freed to show up there on October 1.
Daniel Hannigan has to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register at the closest police station in the interim.
