Detectives probing the homicide of a 14-year-old boy, fatally stabbed on a bus in south-east London, have identified two youngsters, Colin Chabikwa and Mosawar Zazi they wish to interview.

Aspiring rapper Kelyan Bokassa sustained fatal injuries on a Route 472 bus at Woolwich Church Street, near Woolwich Ferry, shortly before 2:30 PM on January 7.

The Metropolitan Police are seeking assistance from the public to locate Colin Chabikwa, 15, and Mosawar Zazi, 16.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee stated, “Initially, my condolences are with the family and friends of Kelyan.”

“I recognise that his demise has profoundly impacted numerous individuals in the community, and I wish to express my gratitude to the residents of Woolwich for their demonstrated support.”

“Officers have been conducting enhanced weapons searches, reassurance patrols, and door-to-door inquiries.” I acknowledge that these may be disruptive; however, they are essential, and your patience is valued.

Our team of investigators is diligently working to identify the individuals responsible for Kelyan’s murder and is seeking your assistance in locating Colin Chabikwa and Mosawar Zazi.

I strongly encourage anyone possessing knowledge regarding their location to contact us promptly by dialling 999.

Two days following the event, police enforced a 24-hour order in Woolwich and adjacent regions, granting them enhanced authority to conduct stop-and-search operations and mandate the removal of disguises, including face coverings, due to apprehensions of potential further violence.

The murder of the 14-year-old incited a surge of online discourse, including allusions to another adolescent who suffered a terrible demise in the same vicinity of London nearly four months prior.

Daejaun Campbell, aged 15, was fatally stabbed in Eglinton Road, Woolwich, on September 22 of the previous year, situated less than 1.5 miles from the location of Kelyan’s death.

The Metropolitan Police stated that no connections had been identified between the two entities.

On January 6 at approximately 4:20 PM, a non-fatal stabbing occurred on Prince Imperial Road, Woolwich, resulting in the hospitalisation of an 18-year-old male. It is not believed to be associated with Kelyan’s murder.
