In 2017, the Offender Database reported that Christopher Hughes, the Coventry Paedophile Child Molester, received a 27-year prison sentence following his conviction for the rape and sexual assault of four young girls.

Christopher Hughes was convicted of 14 sexual crimes against girls aged nine to 14 from 1998 to 2007.

The 34-year-old resident of Bliss Close in Coventry “systematically exploited” each victim, according to police.

Christopher Hughes was found guilty by a unanimous decision at Warwickshire Justice Centre of rape, attempted rape, and further sexual crimes.

A victim reported the incident in 2007; nevertheless, the evidence was inadequate to prosecute Hughes, as stated in court.

Christopher Hughes was apprehended in June 2015 following more victims’ reports of abuse, prompting the Crown Prosecution Service to advance the case.

Following a two-week hearing, Judge Sylvia de Bertodano sentenced him to incarceration on Friday, stating: “By offending in this manner against young girls, you devastate their childhood and expose them to a reality where adults fail to safeguard them.”

Detective Constable Clive Leftwich of West Midlands Police stated: “Christopher Hughes exploited these girls from a tender age, during a period when they were likely terrified of the situation and reluctant to disclose it, believing themselves to be culpable in some manner.”

Christopher Hughes has been permanently placed on the sex offenders register.
